The sides are black and the painting is finished with a high quality resin and wax combination which lends to the high saturation of the colours. Simply dust with a feather duster or clean with a gentle dish soap and a soft cloth.

This little 10″ x 12″ painting was inspired by a late March walk along the Speed river; a time of year when the quality of the light warms and promises of spring to come. 
It’s a study for a slightly larger painting. Small but mighty, it packs a lot of punch despite its little size. Made with my smallest pallet knives.
